Almost February

I have heard from a few of the followers of this blog that it has been awhile since I have posted.  I was surprised when I signed in tonight that it had been so long.  January has been a busy month on the farm. "Roc Day Rocked"  is a quote from one of the spinners that joined us for our anniversary gathering.  We had a great time!!
Feet were flying during my surprise spinning bee.  Because of the number of participants we divided the spinning bee into two heats.  It was all for fun, but some of us have inherited a competitive gene, I know that I was not the only one in the group with this gene.   Spinning on a friends louet and using the long draw technique our overall champion was Dave.  He did a great job!!!

The weather has been a challenge.  Tonight, if you turn into the weather channel it looks like we are in for another blast from old man winter.

Lambing has just begun.  "Pringle" is the proud new mom.  She is a Natural Colored ewe that Liz showed this year.   She had a ewe lamb and a ram lamb.  Life on the farm will be busy again this month, but as busy as it is, I love lambing season.
